Doing some bandit tasks and it got me thinking that Lucos should be able to spot these guys hiding a lot faster than the three seconds RT seeing that he is mastered in SMAST and has 409 ranks of hiding.

Any chance those that are "masters of hiding" can get a reduction in search RT when looking for hidden items/creatures since we know where to look?

1 sec search times seems about right...

One would think if the rt was tied to any skill, it would be perception.

Sorry, I don't really buy the logic. I'm not sure if it does currently, but you may want to inquire (in the AdvG folder) if/request Preception adds to success or RT reduction for the bounty search.

Actually, I don't do the heirloom tasks that require searching. The thing that made me want to suggest it was doing bounty tasks and having the bandits hide on me. I can find them everytime, but with the 3 sec RT it takes to do a search to find a hidden bandit, they usually get off a swing or hide on me before I am out of RT.

My reasoning for being able to spot hidden creatures/players quicker for those very well trained in the art of hiding is that they would know where to look to find the hiders quickly!

I think the min. RT for searching for hidden critters/players is 3 seconds. I'm just wanting this dropped to 1 second and make whatever applicable skill associated with it determine the RT.
