recently mentioned in a general development folder:
>for sorcerers, something I'd think was appropriate for a [high level] spell would be a spell I could use to transform myself into a Lich if I die. boosted abilities and able to kill, move, etc, but no EXP gain and limited benefits except for retribution and perhaps moving yourself to town (make the spell last 15-30 minutes--not worth dying for but a nice perk if you get dusted by an invasion critter or something). think unlife instead of undead (which I see as involuntary spiritual enslavement).
for those following a demonology path, i'm not coming up with anything that makes sense (real world sense OR GS sense). maybe when you die you are able, using your body as sacrifice, to summon a demon to lay waste to your enemies and use a fancy-pants way of sending your corpse to town (e.g. through a rift with your spine ripped out if you summoned an abyran'ra)? doesnt make a lot of sense though...i havent known demons to care much for sacrifices. and if we can't control them alive, why would we be able to control them dead. among other reasons it's a toughie.
I do think our highest spell level should be usable by all regardless of necro/demon predilection.
