Cursing a target with Disruption will cause the mana in its immediate vicinity to flow chaotically.
- In effect, for the duration of the spell even non-magical creatures will be treated as magical(ie for Dark Catalyst and such).
- For the probably-way-overpowered-but-what-the-hell effect idea, it would act as Corrupt Essence does, except against CM attacks.

Seems like the sort of thing we could maybe use at 716. It could continue to be a disease with these sort of effects or something entirely different. Curse is already somewhat full of stuff and I believe there were plans for a couple others (even if so, we know that only means so much), but I think we'd benefit more from something like this in another spell slot as I believe the allowed power of the spell would be greater than if it were a curse. I would be pretty happy to see the multi-curse ability implemented though.

I believe the target would also need to be infused with mana as a result of the spell hitting for DC to matter, but I suppose it would be possible.

Curse is pretty full up, yes, but I'm thinking simpler = better. The Curse mechanic is already implemented. What I would like to see is a reason to use Dark Catalyst against any target, if the Sorcerer so desires. To this day it remains a profession defining spell. Sadly it was gutted for many situations in the long-ago revamp. This way, for a relatively hefty 15 mana cost(not to mention that only one curse can be active, so no TD lowering or other effect on the target), some of its usefulness is returned. To require an infusion of mana as well would be too steep a price. It is still a good spell(against the right target, or if this was done against a properly prepared target), but it is not that good.
