I'm sure this must have been asked before, so I'd appreciate being filled in.
With the very nicely scheduled demonology rune teaching this year, I just want to know if one can ever expect to learn the dikar'fyn rune. Does anyone know it? All I can find is references to it being on box-found runestones and the like.
Don't try to kill me, but sitting on 4 uncommon demonic runes, I was holding out the last slot hoping dikar'fyn was ever taught (past, present, future).
Actually, the rune seems somewhat underwhelming, but a fifth demonic rune would be much more so. Besides, I rather to diversify, and given that I'm still far from mastering Illusions but use scrolls all the time, it'd be practical. I'd think the limit of five is there for a reason, where choice is involved.
Naturally, I wonder if I'm holding out for an infusion rune for any reason. I'd probably keep holding out, regardless, hoping. I would like to know what anyone knows about it, though.

I can say with 99.5% certainty that no one knows the dikar'fyn rune. Evarin and I lobbied (begged) for it to be released about 5 years ago and an NPC showed up at EG and gave pre-drawn runestones to interested sorcerers. I'm still holding out to find a 25th level scroll to use it on.
Learn your fifth demon rune. If the opportunity ever arises for the dikar'fyn you can always rune forget with a wy'zio.
I managed to convince a GM recharging merchant to charge my said runestone I won at that one EG, so I've got a 20 charge one. But ya, that was the only release.
But it is a bit of a moot item, it really shines on level 25 scrolls, but none exist because the treasure system disallows any spells over level 19, except the 1700s and 1725 is nonexistant so... dikar'fyn only really becomes useful if/when 1725 exists, or if by some miracle someone finds a fresh unused gs3 scroll with a 25th level spell in a locker.
