I haven't had any coffee yet, so these ideas might be off the wall crazy.

A room in the sorcerer's guild specifically for planar shift. It contains a massive suit of armor for protection against demons in the event of failure. The suit is so massive a character can't walk around but can cast spells from relative safety. The sorcerer lays down his circle around the perimeter of the room but suits up to cast his spell. In the event of spell failure, the room is designed to allow travelers to escape quickly by using the armored sorcerer as bait. Once all the travelers escape, the room's defenses activate and the whole suit of armor is dropped into a hidden chamber under the armor. The demon would leave due to frustration at having it's plaything removed from the room. Death for the sorcerer is possible, but the chance of a demon rampage is much reduced.

Sorcerer's illusion that allows the creation of a shimmery mirror. This is purely RP, it allows a person to step up to the image and see a reflection of themselves. Being a sorcery, there is a light version and a darker version. The light version creates an exact reflection; the dark version distorts the viewer's reflection into something nasty, like themselves with animal-like features.

The mirror idea is clever. In one form it works as a normal mirror and that is mildly useful; I would no longer have to carry one. In another form, the mirror shows your "true self," a potentially horrifying revelation.

It would be interesting if the image of one's true self were based on real aspects of whichever character looks into the mirror, i.e. training, deity choice, race, or any number of other factors could impact it. In this way sorcerers would be in possession of some real information about every character in the game and they would need to seek us out to receive it.

I think my first request in terms of Planar Shift and Guilds is the ability to shift to them. I understand this is largely limited to keep out non-sorcerers, since for instance PS is largely using a similar system to gold rings. It's also not an item that holds a huge priority for me, but it would be nice.

Meh, I use the ones in the town's New Look pavilion so I don't need to carry one.

Another silly idea. Offensive casting of 740. You draw many small circles and cast. All of the circles activate and creatures are shifted, piecemeal. Great for those days of hunting with 418.

Even sillier. Curse <target> Nightmare 666.

The victim is subject to a nightmare where they are nude and forced to recite demonic and necromatic lore information while being pelted with spell components on a turnip farm. Eventually they succumb to the crushing weight of components and expire.

Thanks for, uh, sharing your preferred custom nightmare.

The funniest thing was before my custom nightmare got fully implemented, I'd get snatches of other people's custom nightmares paired with the second part of mine. You never thought you'd get that anxious about mushrooms falling off a cart. Or your best friend telling you not to go in the water.

>Your mind wanders for a bit, and you find yourself driving a horse-drawn cart along a high ridge. The cart is loaded with mushrooms, and you feel anxious about the possibility of any of them falling out.
>You begin sweating profusely. Tears stream down your face. Blood gushes out of your ears. Thick slime and matter oozes forth from your nostrils. You have just enough sense left to realize your brains are escaping from your skull by any means possible...

>You lift your eyes upon a golden sunset and an endless strand of beach. Your best friend accompanies you on a peaceful stroll as the tide laps gently at your feet. The darkening water seems so cool and inviting. "Don't go into the water," your friend warns, but you heedlessly wade out to about knee height, reveling your toes in the ocean's silky mud bottom.
>You begin sweating profusely. Tears stream down your face. Blood gushes out of your ears. Thick slime and matter oozes forth from your nostrils. You have just enough sense left to realize your brains are escaping from your skull by any means possible...

>The area about you suddenly seems darker, though the cause is not apparent. Shadows surround you, and you realize it is difficult to see further than your own outstretched hand.
>You begin sweating profusely. Tears stream down your face. Blood gushes out of your ears. Thick slime and matter oozes forth from your nostrils. You have just enough sense left to realize your brains are escaping from your skull by any means possible...

Here is finally what I designed, working properly:

>Your head starts to ache with the sudden onset of a savage migraine, and your pulse skyrockets in a positive feedback loop. Your vision shifts to blinding light before blacking out. A deafening throbbing obliterates all other sounds, louder than a dwarven mithril foundry.
>You begin sweating profusely. Tears stream down your face. Blood gushes out of your ears. Thick slime and matter oozes forth from your nostrils. You have just enough sense left to realize your brains are escaping from your skull by any means possible...

Whose custom nightmares are the three I stumbled upon, and what is the correct messaging for the second line to accompany them?

The first two are just ones you can select when you cast Nightmare, I thought the third one was as well but it doesn't match what I have that one might be a custom one.

The second part of the turnips is
Something suddenly makes your team of horses bolt! With no regard for where they are running, they plummet over the cliff, taking you with them! Uselessly gripping the reins, you tumble through the air down into a gorge that seems thousands of feet tall...

You continue to fall...
Your limbs flail as your body is peppered with bits of sharp debris!
... 41 points of damage!

For the beach one
Suddenly, a roaring wave is upon you and you fall backwards! Struggling to right yourself, you feel yourself being held down by invisible hands under several feet of salty water. You manage to briefly burst above the surface now and again, but the glowering face of Lornon in a sudden night sky weakens you. "I told you," says your friend's weakened voice, but all you see on the shore is a wide-eyed lifeless corpse. You are drowning.
