i've died a few times in the glatoph because I've tried to rift deaders back to town and didn't realize I'd crossed the "chasm" planar realms threshold.

however, I've also noticed that people can fog in using 225 from town. but 130 takes you to the ice cave, and intra-realm 740 fails.

If you're able to fog in from town using 225, I'd prefer to see 740 and 130 work to go the other direction. I don't see that as being unbalancing or too much to ask.

lil hint with planar shift, use "esp who"

If you can "see" the landing, you can shift to the landing.

thanks man.

still want to be able to rift from all locations where 225 works though.

225 is a major circle. they're not supposed to be on same 'level' of power as profession circles, I heard a GM say a long time ago.
225 is a lower spell number spell also.
740 requires components. another reason it should be allowed to go that distance, IMO. components add to the power.

am I saying downtweak 225? heck no. 225 is good as-is. just let 130 and 740 (and 930 if it doesnt) work to get from beyond the chasm back to town.

just want to move the "threshold" back farther, beyond the places where people in the landing typically hunt. don't divide a hunting area into different 740 realms

They're 225ing from the chasm or from the river near mule.
