Perhaps limit the number of spells by skill training (as well as having a daily limit).

Allow the caster to use the chant verb to set which spells to cast (in which order) in their offensive combination attack.

You could also build a guild skill around the ability instead, but no one likes learning guild skills.

I want it!! Even if it's just once a day like Mana Spellup. I recently raised my mana controls to get Mana Spellup and figured I'd keep them there for a while, but I'd be willing to invest more for "Mana Destroy". I think you need 75 ranks for Spellup, right? So...what, about a 100 for Destroy? :)
