to improve the utility of 411 for those pures that know the spell, I really think after x amount of ranks in minor elemental (or ranks in whatever) you should be able to eblade a runestaff and get runestaff flares (not the flares from swinging the weapon as a twohander)

Yes. Definitely a great idea.

Balance it by making each cast count as a swing, so its not a perma-buff.

same with me. need a 0x stick, flares are not as frequent as perm flares.

If your staff is a runestaff, then it should flare once every eight casts. It's not random. If the target dies from the eighth cast before the effect of the flare, then your runestaff will not flare until you've cast eight more times.

You should LOOK at your staff to be sure it is actually e-bladed.
