It would be nice to get some acnowledgement when I - and others - start threads. There are a lot of orphan threads out there where someone has suggested somthing or made a comment about something and there has been no response whatsoever. I find myself in the unofficials more where some acknowledgment is almost always guaranteed. Even an inane response is better than no response.

Just my feeling. Another orphan thread? Will see.

What areas of the forum are you running into this issue the most? I try to respond to anything I can answer, but I'll admit to not checking the professional or town folders often, since there is little I can offer outside an opinion.
