As of a few minutes ago, Gambling Kits have a new timer added when you place them on the ground. This timer will last exactly 5 minutes and will prevent the janitor from snagging it right away. This is to help prevent the item from vanishing when you go... WEST, 'OH NO I LEFT MY KIT!, EAST and it's gone. Should you really have just accidentally left it there for a few seconds, and you haven't already killed the timer on the item, it should still be there. This could also help a situation where you get booted and log right back on. No one else will be able to pick up your kit, as that timer is a separate one that lasts 4 hours from the time you place it on the ground.

This janitor protection is not to safeguard a table for prolonged periods of time, but merely to help curtail accidents from happening, since the item is sort of meant to go on the ground. It also will not prevent an item from being scooped up from Platinum droppage on decay.

Another minor fix is you can use RUB and TAP (unlocked kits) while the item is worn, in hand, or on the ground.
