Based on the success of F2P, we're excited to release a new and exciting world of possibilities for Gemstone IV players, farming!

A new town to be located in the Halfling shires, Paradis Farmington, will be made available courtesy tunnels from Zul Logoth and airship passage from Ta'Vaalor. Paradis Farmington will revolve around the background of every brave adventurer, the turnip wagon! Acres and acres of turnip farms will be made available to players to engage in the exciting task of cultivating turnips. In a bid to replicate the real world fun of farming, seasons will be implemented (only in Paradis Farmington), allowing players the chance to perform menial labors over many weeks and months while waiting to see the fruits (Turnips!) of their labors!

Every farmer will be gifted six hundred and ten turnips in advance, which can be bartered for things like hoes, wagons, and seed sacks. The SimuCoin store will also make available turnips via SimuCoin purchases with a turnip to SimuCoin commodity exchange market which will accurately track the demand for turnips against real world prices!

For the more proficient farmers, turnip harvests will result in unlocked abilities, such as canning and primitive turnip art jewelry which can be bartered for turnips, too!

DISCLAIMER NOTE: No additional crops will be made available in Paradis Farmington. Due to the expected demand of players to move to Paradis Farmington, the towns of Solhaven, Icemule and Ta'Illistim will be closed to help better concentrate the player population. In the spirit of this new release, River's Rest will be renamed Water's Cress. Players risk losing entire turnip crop and farm if they fall off the turnip wagon. They will be evicted and transported to Wehnimer's Landing.
