So perhaps this wasn't noticed before, because not many items gen stuck open anymore, but I have a few older items that I wanted to work on finally and this cropped up.
>lmast clasp check cloak
A tiny waist-length cloak can have a clasp attached to it, but not a lock.
>lmast clasp cloak
Picking up a punch from the workbench, you carefully put a hole in the cloak where you intend to attach a clasp.
Roundtime: 24 sec
>lmast clasp cloak
You are about to attach a smooth gold clasp to a tiny waist-length cloak. Your waist-length cloak may have this clasp appear as a long description, show description or not be visible at all. To attach the clasp so that it's visible in the show description, type LMASTER CLASP SHOWDESC, to attach it so that it's visible in the long description, type LMASTER CLASP LONGDESC, otherwise type LMASTER CLASP NODESC.
You may also specify the the style in which you want the clasp attached, just type LMASTER CLASP {SHOWDESC or LONGDESC} {style} where {style} is one of the following:
CLASP
SECURE
BUCKLE
FASTEN
PIN
>lmast clasp cloak longdesc secure
What were you referring to?
>lmast clasp longdesc secure
What were you referring to?
>lmaster clasp longdesc
Selecting a pair of grips from the workbench, you carefully put a smooth gold clasp through the hole in your waist-length cloak and secure it in place.
Roundtime: 25 sec.
<BLINK>
>close my cloa
You close a tiny waist-length cloak clasped with a smooth gold clasp.
Alrighty then. GM Aiza came down to answer a prior assist for me as this cropped up. She kindly looked into the guts of it to figure out why the LMAST instruction command didn't work for me.
What she found was that apparently there is a timer to how long to input the second command of LMAST CLASP LONGDESC <style>. According to my above, it appears to apply to only the <style> option, because I was able to input LONGDESC on the third try, long after the timer she was talking about expired.
According to Aiza, the timer is 30 seconds long, the problem I had was because the 30 second timer starts when you enter the first command LMAST CLASP CLOAK, which takes 24 seconds to do, leaving you with only 6 seconds to read the instuctions and type LMAST CLASP LONGDESC <style>.
