Let say that I have 200 ranks of earth lore as a sorcerer. I get a friendly wizard to imbed me some 503 in some wands for me, use the wands to cast 503 on myself.

1. since this is not a profession circle i receive the benefit from 1/2 my ranks correct?

2. this would give me a 7% chance on the seed 10 summation chart for the +20 ds to proc. What happens is another friendly wizard comes along and refreshes my 503? do I still get the benefit from my lore, do I lose it, does the spell fail when they try to cast it at me?

It should work as just refreshing the time for your spell duration and not reset/change any lore benefit tied to it. That's how it works for blurs and should hold the same across all spells.

You can verify pretty easily with 107, whose lore benefit has its own visibility. Once in a while, someone w/o lores will cast the spell at me and I'll see the "blue motes" fall before the spell does.

I'm not sure every spell works the same, however. I believe with 104/105, if the spell is cast upon you with the added lore benefits, the spell will fail if cast upon you by someone with lower or no lore skill.
