What sort of success rate should I expect in using 1218 to dispel my own magic? (symbol of blessing) I was expecting virtually certain, but I have tried it a few times without any success, though I think it worked to remove a prepped spell when I tried it on a critter.

or if not, why shouldn't mental dispel work too?
