You can wear armor accessories and robes with 1202 with no penalty other than the added encumbrance of the accessories. You'll still have the effects of padded armor/accessories interacting with each other though. There's absolutely no reason to forgo robes and only wear accessories though. Well, maybe if you had all ECP padded accessories but you'd be giving up an easy +20 to DS plus the CVA of enchanted robes so it'd be a bit of a wash.
