ou take a deep breath and focus inward, raising a hand and quietly murmuring the words of the Vertigo spell...
Your spell is ready.
You gesture at a human rogue.
You hold your two open hands before you, fingers splayed, as a black ball full of pinpoints of light forms between them. When the ball grows so large that you can barely control it, you unleash the dark cloud before you and it instantaneously spreads throughout the entire room!

Ya, I've been using that more and more. I'm getting the same effectiveness. About 50% of the targets get Vertigo'ed. The ones who don't get pulled into the void, still seem to be put into rt for longer than three seconds.

Are you getting any traction from the other Minor Mental attack spells?

1201 - Only RP since I got the first Kai step in Voln. Before that it was a way to hurt undead. It didn't hurt them much, but it sufficed to get a few more kills before searching out a cleric.
1203 - Sometimes there is a caster I haven't got any better way of disabling than slowing down with 1203 and isn't so nasty that I prefer to avoid it altogether. I use it on ethereal mage apprentices at the moment.
1207 - Standard tactic. Knock it down, jab for position, then kill when it stands up in offensive.
1210 - I played with when I first learnt it but never found a use for it. Its neither disabling enough nor damaging enough. Might be useful in some group situations, but I can't think of a use for it when solo.
1219 - Looks good for those occasions when you don't mind taking on 3 at once, but there are 5 of them. That sort of double strength bandit ambush situation is about all I can think of for me solo, maybe the Thrak area on Teras but I haven't monked around there. Group hunting would throw up quite a lot more.

Yeah, 1207 and 1219 are the only ones I've ever used except to try out 1201 once.

1219 I use most frequently against bandits since it will pull them out of hiding. Quite effective though mana intensive at level 28.

1211 is nice for those foes that have a nasty maneuver since it disables all maneuvers. Unfortunately, our CS is too low for this to connect often enough. I had thought about playing with Mystic Strike but I've got too many other cman goals first. That, and the 10 second duration seems to small to make it useful.
