I know this has been mentioned before, but...

I updated the prices in my shop to move merchandise (huge price slashes!), but the new prices didn't stick!

I'm glad I didn't advertise the new prices!

Is there a work-around here until Staff fixes the bug?

Thanks,

Pull the item and start over.

I hated following your advice, but I just did. When you pull an item to re-price, you lose the properties of the item discovered by Bard singing.

Now I've stuck all that info into my shop sign. My sign now reads:

>read sign
In the Common language, it reads:
backsword +16 ice flares
greatsword +21 bane
mattock +21 bane
ora-headed maul +10 SWDW
zweihander +15 lightening flares
both no-dachi +20 blessable greatswords
espadon +20 SWDW bastard sword
bastard sword +12 earth flares
twohanded sword +10 LCW
both hauberk +20
katana +10 sancted HCW
vellum is whisper paper
rat pin scripted
brig armor +20
vultite maul +20 blessable
flamberge +0 sancted
studded leather +20
yierka-spur +20 SWDW

Kinda ugly in comparison to how it was before, when getting an item revealed its properties.

When will this bug be fixed, if at all?

Even worse, now the items' properties won't show up in the searchable player-shop databases.

And, some people won't trust what you write on a sign, whereas they'll trust the loresong.

I can comment to say that we will look into it. No time frame, however.

Your guess is as good as their's. Be thankful, at least they commented on it when I posted recently. Last time nobody on staff said anything.

Friends,

I have a work-around for the re-pricing bug in player shops.

(1) Pull all your items you wish to re-price, and put them up for sale at their new price.

(2) Put all the info of re-priced items into your shop sign.

(3) Wait until shops.krakiipedia.org updates. It seems to update at least once a day.

(4) Post your items for sale on the officials or unofficials (or both), with a hyperlink to your shop at shops.krakiipedia.org.

I know Playershops 3.2 and Playershops - Virilneus have much better interfaces with more information and powerful search queries, but they don't update nearly as often as shops.krakiipedia.org.

That might have something to do with there only being one person left who actively was logging shop data, and they eventually got tired of having to leave their characters to script all day, every day.

As I understand it, the scripts used to log the shops are freely available on the Lich repositories, so anyone who runs Lich could pitch in to update some of the shops, if they wanted to do so.

I know I'm late jumping into the thread, but if you're cutting ALL your prices, why not just use the discount option to apply a flat discount to everything?
