Sarah Palin is moving to Arizona. Why? That's the question everyone is asking, trying to read the tea leaves to see what it means for 2012.
Personally, I think Palin must know she cannot win the presidency. What if, instead of being part of a presidential plan, Palin's move is part of a plan to run for the U.S. Senate in 2012 to replace John Kyl, who has announced his retirement? Or in 2015 to replace McCain is McCain does not run for reelection?

It seems to make sense, except that then she might make her assumed 2016 presidential run far worse (half-term senator, in addition to half-term governor, would be a bad label). And I'm pretty sure she's too ambitious to not pursue the presidency at some point -- if not 2012, then 2016; she doesn't strike me as someone who's particularly willing to bide their time very long.
