Hi folks, its Railien....again.

This time I'm back with a new project, the stablishment of an academic journal of sorts for Elanthia. More precisely, its called "The Elanthian Journal of History and Culture." The purpose of the journal will be to inspire and encourage scholarship in the world of Elanthia. What I hope to do is publish the journal periodically (as long as article submission supports this). Articles will then go into an archives, where they'll be sorted by relevancy to race, culture, or topic, for future access and use.

Articles can be about any historical topic, guides on aspects of Elanthia, or just scholarly examinations of current subjects. The site I've created for the project goes into this in a little more detail. Here's the address: http://riversrest.net/journal/jhome.htm

Any questions can be sent to Journal@riversrest.net.

In short, if you've written or wanted to write on a topic in Elanthia, then here's your chance. You will add to the understanding and exploration of the world of Elanthia, and hey, get credit for it too! The goal of the journal is not to create official documentation, but to supplement it and the gaming environment with well thought out articles on the aforementioned topics. So if you wrote a piece on how the Giantmen clothing reflects their society, or on the history of a hunting ground, send 'em in!

The Journal will not be IC, but if you feel comfortable writing from that perspective, its certainly permissible. Also, if you feel that you have a good grasp of specific history or culture, drop me a line if you'd be interested in being a peer reviewer. (Note: Please only volunteer if you have the time to dedicate, many projects falter due to the nefarious RSN syndrome.)

Thanks again for the time, I look forward to hearing from those I know have a love of the cultures and history of Elanthia, as well as those who simply have some knowledge they'd like to pass on.

As always,
Rail

p.s. My great thanks to Akiromora's player for conveying my message to the people.
