a gnarled witchwood crook - The witchwood crook has been sanded smooth and varnished to bring out its natural grain. A variety of gnarled faces, each one subtly different, swirls within the pattern of the wood as the eye follows the length of the staff. A silver cap, worked into the form of a hand grasping a purple despanal, tops the staff. The despanal possesses a peculiar lavender hue and unfurls into the shape of a single female witchwood flower.
