As of about 10 minutes ago, Plat now has their first level 40 Monk.
Just wanted to let you guys know :)
Sorry it took me so long. Had some personal stuff come up that caused me to quit for a couple months when I was about level 36. Came back when Raidek there told me the other high level monk in plat had all but quit too. Anyways this is what a level 40 plat monk looks like:

Now that we have a level 40 monk in Plat, I'll post my own training for people to have a look at and critique if they like. I got to the upper 30's when life crashed in on me. I hadn't quit by any stretch of the imagination, but between a full time college course load, increasing RL obligations, Ebon Gate listwork and family visiting for Thanksgiving, there wasn't much time for powerhunting! Oh, well. Stuff happens.
Currently, my girl's a level 39 erithian monk.

Voln master, currently wearing 6x masterful crit padded robes. She also has 4x handwraps and footwraps, both disintegrate flaring and bandit bane, as well as some 4x handwraps with blessing flares for web and disintegrate. I plan on picking up TWC until she's fully doubled, which will take maybe 10 levels. After that, training up transformation lore for iron skin. I'm also debating changing slippery mind to inner harmony. I haven't really used slippery mind since I'm so partial to rolling krynch, but inner harmony would be helpful in shaking spell effects.
