Got a little monk rolled up and am pretty happy with him. Set his stats for lvl 100 so I won't have to worry about fixstats or remembering to change them before his thirty days is up. Wondering about his training. Especially MOC.
*I got the ranks in MOC for fvf and at level 4 I'm just fighting with a regular fist-scythe. Once I begin playing him with UAC will the MOC be applicable?
*Going 2x physical fitness til max health, then 0x to catch it up and 1x after that. Is there benefit to doing more of this?
*TWC is 1x probably for life the way I read the UAC formulas
*DS is important to me while I learn how well he can take a punch in robes. With that in mind, what do you think about dodge ranks?
*No ambush in favor of maintaining 1x cmans until I max Health then more focus on CMANS with intention of adding ambush later (cman ideas?)
*Anyone have experience with stalking/hiding and ambush on a monk? How's that working out? Heard if you want that you may as well be a rogue.

MOC will still help with force on force, but there is no mstriking with UCS. Unless you have extra TPs after getting everything else you need, it's a skill that can probably wait till later on.

<*Going 2x physical fitness til max health, then 0x to catch it up and 1x after that. Is there benefit to doing more of this?>

PF will help with maneuvers and give you more stamina to use for GoS or CMANs if you get active ones (from what I've seen, most monks prefer stances and passive CMANs, however). Remember though, monks are still squares and probably expected to have more PF when critters are designed.

<*DS is important to me while I learn how well he can take a punch in robes. With that in mind, what do you think about dodge ranks?>

3x for life.

I think 106 plus lore is the way to go if you want to ambush from hiding as a monk, but its going to be pretty high level if not post cap to do it.

More PF if you want redux. If you don't want redux then you'll only need it for stamina if you are trying to run burst/surge continuously.

Ambush when you want to aim. It will be worth thinking about around level 20. You'll be feeble at aiming for a long time beyond that with only 1x cman and no ambush.

You should train 3x dodge before 1x TWC. If you've decided that you want the defensive benefits of 1x rather than 0.5x TWC, then there is no way you should be anything other than 3x dodge.

MOC and a fistscythe (or 2 plus TWC) if you like doing house hunts or invasions. UAC is feeble in large groups (because you have to set up position for yourself, while other set ups are done by anyone for everyone).

I didn't even think of using 106 to hide which is funny since I use 608 on my ranger to hide everytime and actually use 106 in camps. The lores to get the hiding part is really going to be a pain though but I want my monk to be ninja not monk so it might have to be done.
