Can a paladin be viable with a polearm? I see some using THW and I was wondering about this. I have never played a paladin and am considering making one.

In some peoples opinions (like me), polearms are the very best weapons for paladins. It certainly gives you the best Cman options anyway.

I fully agree with Menos. I have several different types of paladins, and it's my lance wielding polearmer who is the nastiest. Hands down.

On the negative side is the super tight training plan for polearms. There is just no wiggle room for any other skills at all. For instance, I just capped this character about two weeks ago and re-allocated in the trainer: 2X Poles to 2X Blunts and 190 some odd ranks of Dodge to 2X Shield, then sat there staring at an extra 1290 ptps and 1096 mtps. Bleh! I'm still swinging the lance.

My paladin is using a bonded 7x lance.

"So, what does that green line on the graph represent?"

"Oh, that's the projection of a hypothetical offspring from a union between Sauron and Cruella de Ville; we use that as a baseline for determining character alignment."
