Hey guys, I'm just going to throw this out there...
Tomorrow I will have Asenora around the Icemule Trace sorcerer guild working with at least one person advancing through illusions. The anticipated time frame is ~6pm eastern. I can't say for sure how long this chick is able to be around because of her wonky work schedule, but I'm going to say at least one hour of guild work should get done. If you are advancing your sorcerer through illusions/alchemy and can be in the Icemule Trace sorcerer guild around 6pm eastern, come on by. I will probably break between 7 and 8 for dinner, then resume guild work with Asenora around 9pm eastern until whenever my eyes get tired of staring at my laptop screen.
I am dedicated to getting her through to Mastery on illusions, and she's not that far off. I'm hoping she can gain one (possibly two) ranks provided someone is able to make it tomorrow who knows how to teach the demon illusion.
Let's get it together, folks, and make it happen! Help me help you.
So, to recap: THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 6TH from ~6PM-8PM(eastern); one hour break; picking up again at 9PM until whenever. SEE YOU THERE.

<<I'll try to keep up better so I can be prepared next time!>>
This past Thursday, we had discussed the possibility of holding the guild night on the same night this week and at the same time. I'll have Asenora pick up Aloana in Icemule approximately 6pm eastern (provided she can show) and then we'll head to the Landing guild. I believe this Thursday is the 13th. I will not be able to stay on as late this time as before, since my schedule changed this week and I actually have to work Friday morning. I'll say 10pm is my limit, but you never know, I could be motivated to stay until 11pm if we get a decent crowd of up-and-comers who need a Guildmaster for fast reps. We will just have to see about the end time, but the begin time should be no problem (for me at least).
I've got a full work week, so if you don't hear from me about this by the middle of this week, you can e-mail me directly at: aquariangoddess13@hotmail.com.
See you Thursday night in the Landing!

<<See you Thursday night in the Landing!>>
Just a reminder, that this is happening tomorrow. Asenora will be meeting with Aloana in the Icemule guild around 6pm eastern, then we will proceed to the Landing guild to meet with any other attendees who show up. While Aloana may not be around for more than an hour or so, I will keep Asenora available for a few hours for whoever is in need of illusion assistance or other guild work.
Asenora is still working through the last ranks of the demon illusion, so if someone can show up at the Landing guild who is capable of teaching that skill, that would be a great help. See you all tomorrow night!

This week's guild night is planned to take place in the Ta'Illistim location (just to change it up a bit). If you are unable to travel to Ta'Illistim for any reason, we'll be bringing guild night back to the western half of the world beginning first Thursday of next month. Unless someone else wants to chime in about next Thursday's, because I just know I won't be able to attend. I can make it tomorrow night approximately 6pm eastern and continue on into the evening until I can't keep my eyes open.
Recap: Guild Night is Thursday September 20th ~6pm eastern-whenever at the Ta'Illistim location. For those of you that don't already know, the guild is located outside of town along Sylvarraend Road. You can easily find it marked on Tsoran's maps, but should you require further direction feel free to send a thought to Asenora on the guild ESP channel once you arrive in town.
If you have any questions, you can email me at aquariangoddess13@hotmail.com or send me an lnet chat.
See you tomorrow night!

Tonight! Landing branch. 8pm-10pm eastern. There will be at least one, possibly two illusion Masters to assist those who are advancing through the ranks. See you there!

So sorry guys, I'm unable to have Asenora there this evening. Something came up. I had spoken to Malkave, and he said he might be there. He's an illusion master, so at least there will be one. I'll see you all at guild night next week, hopefully. It will be in the Icemule branch then. I'll put a reminder sometime next week, too. Again, I'm really sorry. I hope that folks are actually present in the Landing to get stuff done. Sigh.

<<When will the next one be?>>
This week's guild night is going to be Thursday October 18th from 8pm-10pm eastern. It will be held in the Icemule branch this time, but of course feel free to ask for help on the thought network before these scheduled gatherings. Asenora is often in and around the Icemule guild, and always willing to assist fellow guild members. You can even contact me through her on lnet if for some reason she doesn't have her ESP turned on.
These gatherings don't always have to be Thursdays. I just picked a day of the week that worked for me and went with it, since I didn't hear a lot of feedback here. If you've got a sorcerer that needs help with guild work and Thursday nights don't work for you, speak up. If the times don't work, speak up. If you're usually online and in game in the later hours, we can try to make one night work for you. I can't be around weekdays during the morning because of work, but if that's the only time that works for you, there is always the weekend. Also, have chalk will travel...so location is never an issue.
I think these gatherings are a blast. I've had some excellent interactions with some very knowledgeable sorcerers about demonology, theology, culture, astronomy, necromancy and other assorted subjects. It has taught Asenora much. What could your character gain from meeting with a thousand year old elf who's been studying demons since before he or she was born? It's always great to have someone present who's willing to attempt to break the monotony of illusions, and it certainly does get monotonous.
What else would you like to see happen at a guild night? It's a great opportunity for someone who's specializing in summoning to get a few uncommon runes drawn. Do you want free aish'vrak potions for drawing your own runes? How about some mana potions handed out to those who may be lower level and more desperate for extra mana? Does your character reanimate things? Would he or she benefit from a bottle full of moonflowers? We all know how crappy sorcerers are at foraging, and not all of us are friends with rangers. Maybe your sorcerer is a low-ish level necromancer and wants the best quality blood around. What about a flask full of troll blood from massive troll kings handed out at guild night? Or better yet, what if there were pre-made crimson salt crystals of a fairly decent quality? Asenora could make them, but her necromancy skill is mediocre at best (stat-wise; she's very knowledgeable on the subject of reanimation). Does your character study alchemy (probably not a whole heck of a lot of those who do)? Guild night would be the perfect time to get a whole tome filled with formulas that would get your character through his or her studies. Maybe they need all the basic supplies to get started, and maybe certain Guildmasters would take pity on the student and buy a whole alchemy starter setup.
Does any of this interest those who are actively doing guild work? If so, perhaps we can pick a different aspect of sorcery to focus on each week (in addition to illusion work of course) and help get your sorcerer what he or she needs. That would just require the actual presence of interested persons.
We'll see how this Thursday's guild night goes, and expand upon these musings later on.

But back to the topic at hand, there's nothing else you'd like to respond to about my previous post with guild night ideas? Is it even worth it to dedicate one week apiece to the aspects of sorcery?
Looking forward to this Thursday's guild night!

Kastrel can make +2 MAL crystals. Nothing spectacular, but its certainly not bad. Since I think it averages the two, a 0 Necro character would have a MAL of -4 using my crystals. Probably as high as it will ever go as well. Even in a weird world, I would never go above 100 ranks, and thats only +6. Either way, I can provide them for meetings in somewhat small quantities. I don't even mind making them while there, if the ingredients are supplied.

That would be awesome! Asenora knows plenty of friendly foragers, so she can lug a bottle-ful or two of moonflowers with her (not necessarily to be used in entirety, mind you). I'd be under the assumption that Kastrel would prefer to have massive troll king blood? I can bring several flasks full, as she's already got some. Seawater is no big deal. Would you believe I had completely forgotten that seawater was a requirement for making the crimson salt crystals when I was attempting to make them the other night with Asenora? Yeah...had the mashed moonflower and troll blood, and kept getting the message "You don't want to start another mixture with something already in the mortar!" Dur. It was after the fact that I remembered you need blood and water then mashed moonflower. It's been a long time since hand-making these crystals, what can I say? Going over Querthose's guide on krakiipedia helped refresh my memory substantially.
<<...if only I had some necromancy enhancives to bring to the proposed meeting...>>
Same here. I've got some enhancive something or other that I purchased one year at Ebon Gate. I don't even remember what it does anymore. I should look into that..

Good, because the enhancives that Asenora has are +5 to Harness Power and Arcane Symbols, not necromancy/demonology like I thought they were.
--Reminder--
This week's guild night will be held in the Icemule branch on Thursday evening from 8pm-10pm eastern. You may find there to be goodies on hand for your necromancer or demonologist. There may even be alchemy goodies!
See you then!

November has been a hectic month for me, so I haven't been scheduling any weekly meetings of the guild. First few weeks was due to EG being open/extended, then Thanksgiving/Black Friday morning shift at work for me. Next week will be quieter, so look for a reminder early in the week (for those interested, of course).
