Hi all,

I finally got to my fifth rank in Illusions, and the Guild Master informs me that I need to diversify:


>ask vath about next
Vathezir says, "I remember you, you were training in Illusions..."

You ask Vathezir about getting promoted to your next rank in Illusions.

Vathezir says, "To rise to the top, you must diversify. You need to learn 2 rank(s) of other skills before I can promote you in this skill again."

But I can't figure out how to start training in Alchemy. If I ask the Guild Master about training in alchemy/trinkets/potions, he tells me he doesn't know anything about that. If I ask the Training Administrator about training in alchemy/trinkets/potions, she tells me she doesn't know anything about it, either.

Anyway, I am highly frustrated after about an hour of this. I wish the Guild was more intuitive for those of us who haven't been playing for a long time.

It is a bit odd, if you did manage to ask correctly about trinkets or potions, you will get a response like that. Because in your alchemy training you cannot work on either of those skills unless you have more ranks in General Alchemy than those two skills.

Julesia, I will be in Icemule this weekend if you want to go through all the different things about alchemy, so that you can get though the beginning ranks.
