The most popular modern repository for player-created maps is in the lich script called narost (that's Tsoran spelled backwards, a player who attained fame by compiling and releasing maps of Elanthia) which is now contributed by many players.
If you don't want to or cannot install lich, I can package the latest release of the maps hosted there and post them on my website as an archive file for you.
Note that with narost, it will show real-time information about which room you are presently in. It also contains things called "tags" which, among other things, allow you to see what herbs can be foraged in which rooms (although incomplete, it is always growing). You can even, using the present map or right clicking to select a different map, click on a room to go there with go2.
While lich is a very large project, and I feel reluctant to single out any one feature, the mapping is among the best ones.
