Yes, that's right... the festival has hit the calendar! This summer's festival will take place August 1st - 9th in the Monsoon Jungle.

Will there be bug spray available for sale?

Give it up Rohese! Have you seen Jainna's bugs in town? If the ones in town are that annoyingly resilient! then no fly swap, mosquito net, aimed boot or elven underarm perspiration is going to prevent them taking chomps out of you. haha

Jainna, any chance of any tours organised as part of the summer event? (Tell people that there will be alterations - or some such - at the end of it for a few of those participating and I guarantee you'll see more than the usual suspects attending.)

Personally I'd just like the opportunity to learn more about aspects of the island and am distinctly weird enough to find that as sufficient incentive! If the answer is yes, I promise to attend, even if it means forgoing sleep! Now you know I'm serious if I'm proposing giving up sleep!!

I should probably forewarn Dreaer then, he's just acquired a mosquito net loincloth for the occasion. I foresee all kinds of discomfiture and swelling, oh my god the swelling!

Re: tours
I don't have any tours planned, myself. Part of the reason for this is I'm actually rather a ranger at heart and get hopelessly lost looking for the simplest places sometimes. The other part of the reason is that due to the nature of the festival, excursions to Mist Harbor don't make a lot of sense. That said, I'll see what I can do about getting a tour organized for sometime in the near future.

o-O

Oh my! Perhaps some ointment in preparation. Will leave Dreaer to apply it himself under the circumstances!

That would be wonderful Jainna. I know there is a considerable amount of work that goes into making Mist Harbor as good as it is. It would be great to showcase it sometimes I think. As for your ranger skills, your secret is safe with me. Shhhhh!

Dreaer might have a last minute outfit change. Im thinking some thick canvas pants with leather chaps wrapped in a blanket. He might also need the Argent Mirror's escort for handsy gnomes, Im sure being an elf she would have no problem borrowing it.

Is it too late to lodge a request for some actor's/mummer's make-up to be sold at the festival? Something that is described as an obviously painted-on disguise, perhaps in the last feature line.. "Her face is painted to resemble a lion's visage." or "His face is painted with dark lines and spots, giving him the appearance of extremely old age."

Something like this would be really fun, especially during those beloved EG costume contests! Alterable for custom designs would be A++ too.

It is too late to ask for new scripts for this festival, yes. However, you can ask for this over in the EG folder. You never know, you might get some nibbles!

Most scripts for EG are already decided, but that doesn't mean you won't give someone ideas for another festival :)

I am going to miss the first four days of this festival, which is very disappointing since it is one of my favorite events! I'll have my butt planted in the sand and a cool drink in hand for the four days, which isn't all that bad of a trade off!

I hope everyone has a blast, and posts all about it on the forums to make me super jealous.

I haven't been to one before. Where will it be located, or will just be wagons and tents around town?

Indeed, the entrance will be in the Monsoon Jungle. And, although I don't expect a problem, be aware that potentially there could be a wandering Grimswarm or two, since they do sometimes have warcamps in the area. Once you're in the festival grounds, however, you will be safe.

I didn't feel there was a good way to display this in the treetops, so to help you all understand what the leaves are all about, I made this post!

704 a large silvery blue leaf
303 a large purple leaf
410 a large gold leaf
1711 a large red and black leaf
809 a large pastel pink leaf
102 a large orange leaf
1204 a large violet leaf

You tap a large red spotted leaf, which is in your left hand.

This casts 1107, not 1109.

Getting reports that this one "1109 a large red spotted leaf" is actually 1107. Please confirm which it's supposed to be as my hopes shot up there for a few and I don't want them dashed.

You could always see it when you looked ON the cloak, but now you can also see it when looking AT the cloak, too! Of course, if the wings aren't out, you don't see them.

This is on the plat side, but the silk-draped knothole on the Platform Level, does not appear to be accessible. It may be intentional at this point and just not yet be opened, but figured I'd bring it to someone's attention, just in case it was an error. I also bugged it in game. :)

Excellent festival, loving all the interesting consumables and various other fun toys -- and the bizzarro wing-cloaks... those are pretty nifty, heh.

Thanks all, for all the effort obviously put into this!!

Really enjoying this great festival! I still have lots to explore but I love the whole theme. The sprites are awesome. The goods are unique and interesting. As a premium subscriber I think everyone involved has gone above and beyond with this one. Really well done!
