I would be ecstatic if a GM could even answer the question of why all of the different herb types don't drop in the treasure system, let alone if it could be updated so they do. What would be even more cool if they dropped on a regional basis, with ales on Teras, whale blubber in Icemule, etc.

Hmmmm... I haven't found anything in awhile, but I did find these a few months back:
a pair of black leather gloves studded at the knuckles with bezels of firestone (just gloves according to loresong)
and this:
some matte ebon leather armor tooled with gilt Saramar runes (4x doubles)
Both available in my shop on FWI!

You remove an enruned mithril wrist guard from in a magical item bin. |
>l my guard |
Heavily enruned over the surface, the mithril wrist guard is dyed a crimson hue. Upon the underside of the guard, a tiny onyx scimitar is affixed to the mithril. |
I'm pretty sure it has something imbedded in it, too, but this char has no AS/MIU/405/loresong to figure it out.

I've had zero luck finding anything on my own. Unless you call something a mithril broadsword with temp very heavy crit-weighting. I don't when I see what other people are finding in Nelemar and the Rift.
It's fine, after a dozen years of the same you get used to it. :D
My question is this, for anyone who cares to respond, are people finding things mostly inside warcamps or outside of them?

I found two different warhammers the same day (or within two days, maybe) on dybbuks a few weeks ago. One was apparently just a run-of-the-mill mithglin warhammer. The other was "an ancient warhammer" and had disruption flares. I'm always a little bummed to find stuff I can't use, but it's still fun to have found something. I sold the mithglin hammer to Walsor and gave the disrupting warhammer to the bard who sang to it for me, since he knew someone who uses blunts.
My favorite find is still a dwarven invar battle-axe I found on an Arachne acolyte years ago. It had a neat little LOOK description and wasn't anything fancy other than that (far as I knew), but I designed a whole character around it. Sadly that character has fallen by the wayside, but still. I loved that axe.

>>>Kerl, disks
This really needs to be looked at. If the design-intent of adding that gem was to essentially make non-self-cast disks half as effective then it should stay the same. But for as long as I've been playing a 1-box disk was the exception and has now become the rule. I know the bad gem thing is probably helping out a small slice of alchemists and gem bounty'ers there has to be a different way or a change that can be made to bring 511 back in line with what it's been.

In the last two weeks I have found pocketed gloves, pocketed trousers, pocketed shoes, and a pocketed belt. They have all worked out well for me. Several pieces of jewelry that were capable of magic, which I have sold, and an unsual occurance of armbands.
Weapon wise I have found an ancient estoc, and an unsual brawling weapon. I have stored these for the future.
Both of the weapons were being wielded by the critter they were taken from.
Still Looking!

>>Hunting minotaurs has not produced much of anything ... which I think is par for minotaurs.<<
This has been my experience as well for the past couple of weeks. I think the area is suffering from a large amount of hunting pressure.
It's amazing what people will do when they think you can't see them.

>I've been finding an extra 10 silver gem in 9 of 10 boxes. It's now "normal" that I can only get one box in a disk.
I haven't. I have runs where I will see several in a row, but 10-20% (i.e. one in every 5 or 10 boxes) is what I normally see. I don't know what is typical, but there is more to it than 9 out of every 10 boxes have one. I think this 10-20% is about right. It may be that they are skewed toward the high tier boxes, which doesn't seem right.

I don't know what the formula is that they're using, but it appears to not be random but weighted towards areas that aren't otherwise hunted much. The 90% number is about what I'm getting with scatter boxes. Honestly I think they should just add the bonus gems as normal treasure drops instead of in boxes. I wouldn't care if the numbers were the 10-20% you're getting.

While I see why this change was implemented, the fact I can only fit one disk in a box has become a huge pain, and I hope something is done to fix this.

I guess I get to be the love voice of dissent. I still regularly fit 2-3 (once in recent play even 4) boxes in my disks. This is with an air lore-enhanced disk hunting in Nelemar, and a completely unenhanced disk hunting around Ta'Vaalor, and another completely unenhanced disk hunting around Landing.
Maybe you all are just used to finding more stuff in boxes than I am, but coins + 1 extra item has always been par for the course for me, so the cheap gems aren't really hurting my capacity.
