Kicking elementals shouldn't hurt if you are wearing suitable boots. If you aren't, it hurts big time. Its absolutely essential to have fire flaring gear if you are going to mix it with ice critters and cold flaring gear for playing with fire.

There's nothing to golems themselves, they just bore you to death by taking forever to die after they are disabled while you mindlessly spam kicks on them. Ice golems with fire flares aren't too bad, same for lava golems and cold flares, but the undead golems are incredibly tedious, possibly because of having more hits, or possibly because holy water flares are nowhere near as good.

I haven't tried vruul, and I am not sure suitable UAC gear for them exists or is even able to exist.
