I just noticed that it was on the website when I went to read the boards and that no one had signed up for it yet. I posted about it and then purchased a ticket after deciding which one I would be able to attend. I know someone that was prime purchased one later the same day I purchased my premium one so it probably wasn't that long. If it was, no one knew about it anyway.

We've been discussing it on lnet as well, I'm sorry Aprelli you didn't know. Had I know you wanted a ticket I'd have told you ingame. I don't know if they just think no one cares because the event has been run so many times it doesn't warrant an announcement or what.

Excited by the prospect of a property but concerned about the downsides. If a citizen of elven nations wins a home in river's rest or teras, they may not be interested. In the past private property has not been exchangeable. Perhaps this would be a mini flying dinghy (thinking about the grand prize of the original races). Obviously should the winner already live in the town the property is offered there isn't as much a downside (just that you have the chance to win something you will have to pay rent each month to keep)

The property is in the Landing. You do not need to be a citizen there to claim ownership. It is a workshop. And the winner will get to fully remodel the place. I think it's a pretty awesome prize. Big thanks to GM Kaikala, for donating it.

This is quite a worthwhile grand prize as it has a workshop. Kudos to the donation, though I'm curious which property in the Landing it might be...I don't think I know of more than 2 in the Landing with a Workshop...

There are at least five in the Wehnimer's area with workshops. Kodos, Tedra, Dartagan, Aanalar, and Cerulian all come to mind. I'd guess there are one or two others that I'm just not thinking about too. I'll leave it to Ardwen to fill in those blanks.

Heh I had to go explore and re find the place. I knew it was near town..cause I was probably brave enough to hunt orcs at the time. It is on the upper trollfang map near the foothills.

I won't post what entering the place looks like as it really should be experienced. Ya that was definitely my most memorable find. But then finally figuring out how people were entering the bathhouse yet never exiting it was also up there on my list. Man I remember people yelling at me on the amulet to get out of the bathhouse because I was in there looking for a trapdoor.

I almost posted how this is frustrating due to the way this run wasn't announced, sold out, we were told there were more runs going to be opened for those that missed out, the prize pool is actually buffed up with usuable mechanical items instead of crumbly stuff(great for those in the run, yet doubly frustrating for those that missed it), now we find out that there aren't any more runs being added and that likely we won't see it again for awhile, etc.

But what would be the point? Nothing would change, we'd still get a random outcome generator determining how snafu's are addressed. If nothing else I suppose its at least not boring.

Here's what Solomon said back on October 1, when I posted my disappointment on how this run was stealthed.
