Percy squinted into the light as he left the cabin of the Silver Sun. It was bright. Much brighter than his home had ever been. And it was warm, he realized as he made his way to the gangplank. Hugging his toy otter close to his chest, he looked down at the pier where a small gathering of people was talking with Auntie Omiko.

He giggled. Auntie Omiko. The old woman had so many titles. Charl’s Priestess. Hermit of the Fishing Village. Wise Woman Omiko. Mom.

Percy looked up as he thought about that last one and started to really look at the people around Omiko. He couldn’t find Leander in the crowd but was hoping that he might be nearby. Because, if he was, then Percy knew his children would be too and that meant playmates.

Percy tilted his head to the sky. The sun was so bright! He rather liked how it made him feel. It was cozy.

An elf waved up at him from the pier, Omiko’s eyes followed.

“Uh oh, Captain Wiggles,” he said to the stuffed otter. “That means they are talking about us.”

Percy glanced over his shoulder, his eyes searching for the mist but finding none.

He suddenly felt hungry and energetic. He looked down at his arms and bare feet. There wasn’t any mist to make him sleepy. There weren’t any voices to whisper to him that the biting mist was okay, or that the eels were friends, or that the cold was salvation.

‘We will have to get used to that,” he told the stuffed otter.

Captain wiggles nodded his agreement. “Yes,” he said. “We shall. Now let us go see your Aunt that is not your Aunt and see if this world without mist is ready for us.”

Percy nodded and started for the gangplank, but he hesitated for a moment. He glanced over his shoulder as if looking for someone, but just then, Captain Wiggles shifted his eyes. He then wiggled his nose and his little otter tail. Percy laughed, forgetting for the moment that he was worried for his mom and dad back on Caligos Isle.

Thanks to the care and aid of several adventurers, Percy has been rescued from Caligos Isle.

Percy was created five years ago by GM Elysani and coded by GM Modrian.

Over the years, GM Haliste and I have taken turns updating him over the years.

Last night, Percy was played by GM Haliste. His father was played by me.

We did have a moment of hilarity when I took the wrong trail twice to get to the fishing village.
