A change was made either earlier this year or last year to make gems sold at merchants jarrable, as previously they had not been.

None of the gems I've purchased and tested have been jarrable. I know it's the last day and the chances of this being fixed, especially across multiple shops (A Head Above Water, Baubles of the Sea, Macabre Masquerade and possibly Promise of Winter - I haven't purchased the onyx there yet) is minimal before closing time, and I have bugged a single gem in each of the first three shops, but I thought I'd post here as well.
