According to the login blurb Ebon Gate is now open, but none of the items it says are required to access the various bits of it are in the Simucoin shop.

>I have that folder on ignore. There are separate folders for announcements that I do watch but I don't want to wade through the aggravation of endless teasers for items I have absolutely no chance of acquiring so the event folders generally get set to ignore.

don't blame anyone else if you're putting that folder on ignore.

I routinely ignore whole stacks of folders, but then if someone posts about something interesting or makes a comment, I can always open up the referenced folder and search for what I desire to read.
(Usually, "simu-%" or "gs4-%" in the 'author' box at the top... cuts down on noise.)
I don't even have to inflict upon myself a single non-staff message, since clicking on the 'Folder' title displays the start/end message number + 'author' boxes for letting me go search.
