Is there anyway to suspend the activation of - or continuation of - the gift of Lumnis, whilst we're on a quest. Most of the benefit comes from resting in a node between hunts or other experience generating activity. Obviously I'm not going to be wasting my time sitting twiddling my thumbs on the schooner; however it would be nice to be able to suspend the gift for that 2 hour period.
I don't pretend to understand the mechanics of the game. However if it was possible, it would seem that the best way would be some technical suppressant of the timer, the suppressant activated when on the warship or schooner. This would be better than tinkering with each individual attending character.
I'm applying a novice's logic, which is not based upon any knowledge whatsoever about the intricacies of coding that might make this possible..or impossible.

Don't want to rain on your parade, but the generic answer is, "Nope, you're screwed."
Of course, GMs might do some hocus pocus, but I highly doubt they will. The answer to that was probably, "Don't sign up for a quest when your gift was expected to activate or be active."
Only being direct from what I know or guess, not to sound like a jerk.
>(OOC) Rozy's player whispers to the group, "Spiiiiiderhalfling!"

<<The answer to that was probably, "Don't sign up for a quest when your gift was expected to activate or be active.
Hard thing to do for the most part alas where game play is limited to a few weekend windows. But I did actually think that if I received an official response it would be along the lines of " you need to coordinate your gift and quests better."
I guess the saving grace is that there is scope for requesting specified quest times. So perhaps that's the answer.

Haha. Don't worry. You'd have to say something really insulting to P me off. Normally I have shoulders broader than a 1980's shoulder padded soap star. Direct responses to questions are always preferable to the alternative. Thanks for the response.

<<I did the same thing Brem. Gift and RPA active during my run, oops.
Hehe. In the Uk they would call you and I 'a wee numpty'. Just as well I've done enough questing. Fun as it is, will prioritise the gift in future.
Will have to satisfy my lust for Krolvin flesh in the slave camps on the beaches of Teras.
