Per Wyrom, Creating Adventure - April 2019:
<We have a release event starting very soon, where we release something close to every day. There isn't a specific theme for this one, but the working name is the Spring Spectacular. You can expect this release event to kick off at the end of April. Some tidbits of what to expect are disarm roundtime changes, *updates to four cleric spells*, an Elemental Lore: Fire update, and quite a bit more.
So what do you think will be the cleric spell updates?
I'm hoping for:
1. 302 (Smite/Bane) - some sort of fix, whatever that may entail. The double cost and damage penalty for off-alignment use for one. Reason - RP choice of Arkati, instead of mechanical choice.
2. 307 (Benediction) - adding physical self-cast AS to this in line with bolt AS gain. Reason - viable physical AS without threatening dedicated 2x trainers.
3. 335 (Divine Wrath) - making this aoe spell better than ok, because just ok in not ok. Let SL:Summoning affect wave delay as well as initial delay.
Reason - we should have a strong aoe option to deal with swarms.
4. 309 (Neutralize Curse) - combined with 315 (Remove Curse), with control on which is cast (evoke, etc.)
This frees up the 309 slot for either an aoe maneuver type spell (ewave, grasp of the grave) or cleric ball spell.
Reason - aoe man spell - for when CS is not sufficient, ball spell for cleric bolt training.
Ideally, we would get both options, placed somewhere in the cleric circle.
