Sorry this post is late but I don't often come to this Forum. I do, however, want to add my voice to those who have expressed disappointment in the decision not to have Briarmoon again. I was really looking forward to it coming this year. I totally enjoyed the last one. In order to go to Briarmoon this time I even avoided going to Ebongate. At the very least, a heads up BEFORE Ebonsgate came out should have been posted. Numbers, as others have mentioned, don't tell the whole story. Whenever an event gets canceled it looks bad. It makes people worry about the future of GS and whether they are wasting their money continuing to play. Whoever is making the marketing decisions on these things really needs to be taken to task. I don't mind plunking down some money on GS but decisions like this really rankle and don't encourage me about the future. Sorry for the negativity but I am of the opinion that if people don't express themselves then the powers that be won't be clued into how the customers feel. Also, I feel that whoever markets these events needs to take a cue from walmart. You make more money selling a whole lot of low priced tickets than you do selling only a few high priced ones. Whatever marketing model is being used is not working. In any event my thanks, as always, to the GMs and everyone else who put in a lot of work to make Briarmoon happen. Sad, very sad, to see it go.

I heard of this thing once called surveys. Maybe we could get surveys every now and then about events we like and dont like and you folks can take that into consideration. While i am annoyed about bc i am looking forward to whatever event that is planned in February. Come on man give us a HINT!

They have something like that already. It's called "How much money did we bring in for this event?".

Surveys are only useful when everyone takes them. Not just a vocal minority. If the survey participation was closer to our subscription numbers, I'd do them. But other than that, they are a massive waste of everyone's time. They tell you nothing significant at the less than 10% rate of participation.
