It had been a quiet evening on patrol. The Vaalorian soldier walked his route along Fearling Pass from the crevasse to the bridge with his bright red cape flowing behind him. After the dinner hour had passed and traffic along the road had died down a curious noise erupted from the briar patch on the north side of the bridge. The soldier distinctly heard branches breaking amid the sounds of whirring and clanking coming from the darkness and drew his ehanor longsword. Trundling out of the briar patch was a large contraption the soldier had never seen in his hundreds of years in Ta'Vaalor! A carriage of sorts but with a colorful glass-domed top and instead of wheels brass-hinged wooden legs like that of an arachnid from the Spider Temple!

Stunned, the soldier looked on as the carriage came to rest squatting on Fearling Pass near the entrance to the Ravelin. Once it had stopped a tiny door popped open and a set of brass steps lowered themselves at the entrance. The figure of a gnome in a domed hat and burgundy waistcoat appeared in the doorway saying, "Fair evening! All are welcome to enter the Terrestrial Transitorium to purchase my latest invention! It will be of interest to those who practice the art of summoning!" before disappearing again back into the carriage.
