Don't get too crazy with this one, but what are some theme-appropriate services you'd like to see?
(Don't even go thinking high-end enchants and permablessing and crazy flares and stuff - these are simple farm folk. Don't confuse them.)
I saw someone mention AC grooming, which I think is perfect for the event.
Anyone got anything else?

1) Alterers that work ONLY on non-armor leather and simple fabrics (cotton, linen, wool, etc.; NOT silks, velvets and brocades!) (Yes, this kills me a bit, 'cause Traiva loves her fancy fabrics.)
2) Merchants who work ONLY with wood, flowers and grasses
3) I was bored yesterday and read the Merchant Guide on the website and sharpening was mentioned; I don't recall having seen that in AGES and would be a nice service for blade users
4) Whittling! Folks could buy blocks of different kinds of wood and the "merchant" could whittle it into a decorative object, or folks could have their runestaves carved/polished (cosmetic only).
I may think of some more ideas later.

Every farming community has to have a good blacksmith, so I don't think it's that unreasonable to have a weapon/armor service or two. Maybe not super high end stuff, but at least an alterer.

Agreed. One thing that seriously lacked from EG 09 was any merchant willing to work on detailed armor or weapons that weren't from their own shop. It would be nice to see some armor/weapon-specific local yokels.

Some flowers that work like the hair accessories that change your style.
Did someone mention face painting?
Custom tonics that'll cure what ails ya.
Love potions.
Worry dolls and charms to invoke love, silver or power. Witch crafty things.
Lots of antiques. Spinning wheels, butterchurns, and tart kilns.
Paint your own mug. Pottery you can craft yourself.
Fortune telling cards.
Simple countryish instruments like rubber band water basins, harmonicas, banjos, fiddle(is that possible because it needs a bow?), jugs etc.
I'm afraid to mention the kissing booth again....

How could I forget! Fishing supplies!
Tackle boxes, vests, hats that hold lures, hip high oilskin galoshes.
Folding chairs that you can carry with you (simple fold and unfold verbs, sittable).
Fishing contest - Fish for a magic fish that will grant a simple wish/give prize.
Still thinking....

>Simple countryish instruments like rubber band water basins, harmonicas, banjos, fiddle(is that possible because it needs a bow?), jugs etc.
As a harmonica player, they are anything but simple country-ish instruments. Pretty complicated little things underneath the cover. Japanese play'em too, up to two foot in length (Typically a tremolo style). A basic everyday harmonica has 20 reeds (10 per reed plate). Made out of metal, though some do use plastic.
For a fiddle/violin and bow there'd have to be new coding for the instrument, same goes for a harmonica (None of the current instrument styles would work, especially with a harmonica since there's no keys- save for a couple more modern types and then it's simply a slide button). A jug would be pretty cool... EXHALE JUG. And one of several messages comes across (Exhaling at the neck of the jug, it echoes forth a low deep tone. Or- You exhale at the neck of the jug, the low tone wavers as your breath barely grazes the opening. Even an outright fail, where your breath passes over the hole. Maybe even be able to change the tone by adding/removing liquids.
And if harmonica's do become an instrument, feel free to hit me up on some messaging.

>>A small shrine and service in her honor.

These would drive Traiva crazy...and yet be perfect and likely make me massively love this festival all the more.
Make them happen! (Especially if the service is all about fertility.)

I don't know if this has been mentioned but if not I would like it to be.
I think that animal companions should be able to be altered (much like a sonic item). So a druid that can make unique animal companions appear or alter the animal companions people have now would be great.

Companion grooming is a (semi)regular service. I've had mine groomed, though it took me 6 years or so.

Animal companions are alterable already. And it would be a good service to see at the festival. When you alter one it can be done for the 15/15/15 description and the DESCRIBE (show) description. It takes someone to use the describe verb, like what is used for creatures, to be able to see the "show" description, though.
For example, this is my ranger's:
A blue-eyed alabaster samoyed
>describe samoyed
With a broad chest and muscular shoulders, the samoyed's oversized paws and somewhat spindly legs give him a puppyish air. Thick, snowy fur contrasts with the pebbled black of his nose, and his brilliant blue eyes are surrounded by ebon rims. Ocassionally the canine's long tongue will loll from between his lips, giving him an amused expression and exposing his sharp, white teeth.

neat and great to hear....I think this service should definately be added to the festival.
I know that a certain amount of sonics are allowed to be altered per yer why not animal companions? Both services should be more than bi-annual to the everyday populace IMO.

Sonics and AC grooming are both on limited release schedules each year. Unfortunately, the person who's usually approved to do them is usually busy. That's why you see a few months of nothing, then a big clump of them, then nothing again.

Farm themed puppets and puppet props would always be nice. Puppets stuff with hay, a barn shaped stage, angry farmer puppet wielding a tiny pitchfork, a curvy farmers daughter puppet holding a pie, etc. If ya want ideas, say the word and I'll give yas dozens |

I know of at least one person who has wanted such a service done for a very, very long time. Granted, he wants to be able to wear a coffin (because he's a weirdo).. but I think the sentiment would be appreciated.
