Swing at the rolton's eye catches an eyebrow instead!
Your whip snakes around a rolton. You bring the whip back with a snap of your wrist, sending a rolton dropping to the ground.
A rolton falls to the ground.

Your braided leather whip flares with a burst of flame!

... 20 points of damage!
Horrid burns seal right eye. Consider an eyepatch.
The rolton is stunned!

Okay, seriously: automatic knock-down stuff should be an integral part of whips, bolas, and entangling nets already (and not work like normal "flares", as the nets do).
