Merchant services:
1. Ensorcel (this should definitely be available at lower levels and not lorded as an incredible service) and of course T4 or T5 major raffle win.
2. Familiar altering, another service that shouldn't be heavily restricted for a wizard.
3. Regular container deepening. ie belt worn item currently holds small amount - can change it into a max of medium. Or the standards that are implemented for various slots. Reserve the epic deepening for poor Wyrom and other pay events.
4. Years ago some rods were sold and a cold steel rod, an engraved cobalt steel rod (2), a hot metal rod (2), an etched crystal rod, a spiraled glass rod. They can be charged to 40 charges which makes them nice to keep around.
5. Scroll combining. I'd like to see a lightweight container - ie tome, valise etc that will enable us to add scrolls to it. I have scrolls that I want to keep/use but keeping track of them is onerous.

>1. Ensorcel (this should definitely be available at lower levels and not lorded as an incredible service) and of course T4 or T5 major raffle win.
This is already one of the most frequently available PC services with zero risk and loss of item usage. In addition, TD bonus or effective TD services of any kind are far more powerful than DS boosts and have historically been among the rarest combat upgrades offered.

All wands can be mage recharged to 40 charges if one is skilled enough. The only benefit these old ones had were being non-crumbly and including major shock, but alchemy exists now and we shouldn't be further devaluing those skill sets.

This exists. It's called a scroll codex (see the Troubled Waters quest).

This is a thread for suggestions for future events....
I'm fully aware that ensorcel is available to people who want to shell out money to players. I would like the chance to win one. I thank you for the history lesson, but since my two mains already have 5x HCP and 8x HCP armor - I know how often enchant has been offered and the number of times I was able to have it done. (You might be interested to know that the 5x HCP was enchanted by Kodos with light leather purchased from the armory. I have very fond memories of that character.)
re: Rods - Non crumbly is a nice thing. I am curious though, why were wands released at BMC via the game if they are available through alchemy? Again, moving silvers out of the game is a very desirable thing. If there is a push to make alchemy so relevant then why have any magic items ever released through events? Weapons? Players can forge those, no more at events.
re: Scrolls ie codex. And I would like to see it come via another event. If your logic were to prevail, there would not be a single vanishing point, metallic, Joola, Valinda etc after the heavily scripted gowns by Nalea on the Wavedancer. There are countless things that were "auction" quality years ago, that are common place now. I had an item that was simply scripts, makeup related - not a single feature was changed in any way. Just because it was available in years past through a special event, does not preclude it from being offered in the future.
