For those who wound up with one of the gem-eater runestaffs and discovered that the Acuity flares were less than advertised, there is now an automatic fix in place within the script that will correct the errant value and provide an informative message as soon as you GET, LOOK at, or change the gem in the runestaff (PUSH or PULL).

Because this script could be used on other runestaffs in the future, with other settings in the various flare fields, this auto-fix will only function until March 31, 2017. If you've stashed your runestaff and don't intend to grab it again until April, you'll have to ask a GM to do the fix manually at that time.

Apologies for any concerns or inconvenience the reduced flares have caused in the meantime.
