Is the snaring of the caster a feature of shadow web or will the critters casting it be able to avoid the web?

Bugged this in game yesterday, and I haven't tested this today, so this may be dated...
The last time I cast Shadow Web, the creatures in the room that were webbed weren't showing up as webbed when you did a LOOK command to see the room description.
