Anyone timed the actual "unconcious" effect yet?
In my tests, its about 1.5 seconds, if that. (By the time you type "dance" or "stand" your out of it..)
Intended? It use to knock you out for longer then that...

That's about what I got the few times it's knocked something out. I thought maybe I just hadn't used enough power, but since you got the same result I guess not. And frankly if I need to cram any MORE mana into it than I do already it just isn't worth it.
Vertigo needs to hit the balance as soon as it's cast, and it needs to have a stronger effect than it already does. It also needs to knock people out of hiding or at least have a chance to. If you're wobbling and swooning and most likely not even seeing straight you're going to be making some noise...at least a twig snapping or something as you try to catch yourself.

Agree, and agree. When I cast on individual creatures (I've been trying it out on Swamp Trolls, ~my level) at 5, harness 5 twice, I get somewhere from 5-7 pulses, takes them down to off balance/badly balanced (depending on how hard I hit them, and that's more than enough of an advantage) and probably 50% of the time I make 'em go naptime. But fighting other things (ogres, wolves/ ogres, rams, bears, arbelogs) up to a 25 mana general cast, at which I start to waste mana, I'll be lucky if I get 2-3 pulses, and it really doesn't unbalance them all that much. So there's a very large difference between general and specific casting with this spell. I realize this is partially intended, but this is quite a large difference, especially when I'm hitting my max mana for the spell.

<<Ive seen up to a 5 second "naptime" when knocked unconscious.
Elemancer Zzei <<
Frankly thats just not enough time.
For refrence, I'm putting about 33-36 Mana into it. (its the max I can do..) and I think the time is...extremely short. I'm not thinking a minute or more like MB, but come on.. 15/20 seconds at least here.

As you well know, so is AL, tremor, TC(in practice if not in purpose), IP, PW...am I missing any?
I've had vertigo happen to me once. For anyone who hasn't experienced it, it's like when you stand up too fast and your vision dims a little bit from the blood going to your head...only it keeps going and keeps getting darker until it envelopes your entire head and makes your face feel very full. Then you wake up on the floor looking at the wall and for about 3 seconds you really have no freakin' clue what just happened.
For this spell to have a niche it needs to be more true to life and give more effective bonuses. If something passes out from something like this they aren't going to blank out for 1.5 seconds, wake up, leap to their feet dance a jig and get to solidly balanced in 6-8 seconds.

In my experience, that sounds more like hyperventilation, which can bring you to your knees if it isn't controlled (one of the weirdest hazards of singing that I've found, due to how much oxygen is getting put in your system when breathing properly for the job).
I did have a bout of vertigo once. I likened it to motion sickness, except that the world spinning around instead of me.
