Because of the sheer power of warrior mage spells, their weapons are rendered almost obselete in PvP. In hunting, training required weapons skill takes time, as you have to wait to close to melee range to the creature.

I've noticed that a lot of the rewrites of spell have the functionality of pushing a creature back away from the caster, such as PW and RoS. What we really need is a spell that draws a target TO the caster, from missle to instant melee range, to 1) prevent it's escape, and 2) use melee weapons. Keep in mind that this spell wouldn't be abusive in PvP-- you generally do not want to draw in someone to melee if you cannot compete with them in melee. Drawing in a high level barb isn't exactly wise. But this spell would be helpful with those pesky players who use cheap fighting tactics such as run in, cast (or shoot), and run out. It would also be great in keeping potential grave robbers from running away.

I'm proposing an added functionality to PW. Right now as it stands, there is no reason for me to choose PW when I could have RoS. The only time I probably need to run from melee combat is when I'm being overwhelmed by a swarm. Knocking the enemies back one at a time with PW will cost you your life, especially if you're up against creatures that can kill you in a few hits. RoS is clearly superior by knocking them back, enough for you to get out of the room and to an empath.

I think that when cast on a creature or target that is at pole or missle range, PW should draw that target to the caster, and give a brief roundtime, stun, or balance penalty to the target, depnding on the caster's magical abilities. Of course, because the winds are pulling the target closer, instead of dealing a impact, the damage would be negated, and replaced by something else, such as:

>cast og
You gesture at a dusk ogre.
You harness the winds into an awesome current and then channel them from it!
The winds draw in a dusk ogre with such great force that it is knocked to its knees!
A dusk ogre is forced to melee range with you!
The dusk ogre is stunned!
Roundtime: 3 seconds.

Anyways, just a suggestion (and plea)! Don't let this get in the way of ending global preview, it would just be nice to have this in the future with the spell.
