How can it be that the absorbtion bonus to YS was hacked for global cap worries, when DA does a heck of a lot more?

Define 'heck of a lot more'?

For elemental absorptions, max YS is essentially the same increase as DA.

For physical absorption, max YS is half the increase of DA.

YS drastically reduces the hinderance of a piece of armor. DA does not affect hinderance.

DA increases the protection of a piece of armor. YS does not affect protection.

The duration on both spells is very comparable.

Unless I am misunderstanding 'heck of a lot more', I'm not seeing it. And I don't think it has anything to do with global caps.

I was under the impression the absorbtion effect of YS was downtweaked because of GC purposes; and while I realize that DA is not head and shoulders above YS overall, the absorbtion effect is. Thus, I was pointing out (guess I was mistaken), that there was obviously room for YS to do more for absorbtion because DA was doing A LOT more.
