ReplySorry to bother you, but I'm curious as to why Transference is Harder to learn then before.??
I remember when playing 5 years past that I use to get .07 to .10% per click at mindlock.
Even thought its hard now for me to get locked in Transference, but when I do, I only get .02 per click. maybe .03 if I'm lucky. But to get mindlocked, I had to heal 5-10 people in a row and get pretty messed up in wounds. Then I spent 5 to 20 minutes healing myself so I could take more wounds. I get more % in Mechlore then I do in transference without the wounds
Could someone please explain why the Empaths have been pretty much screwed in the transference? Transference was once Teachable, but then the Gods removed that.
Sorry for the Rant, I just had to get that off my chest.

I'm assuming you have been away from the realms for a while. I'm not an empath, but exp gain has been slowed across all skills for a couple years now. Keep in mind there are wall ranks on skills which probably accounts for the difference in gain from transference and mech lore assuming they are close to same ranks. Without knowing your ranks, that is about all I can tell you.

Did they have transference 5 years ago? When i first started playing empaths (though it was about then) they didn't have transference. Also...5 years ago presumably you had less skill, where you'd pulse more.
And how fast you learn probably doesn't have to do with the transference skill. Several things go into play. Its your primary skillset (lore), your discipline, wisdom, intelligence. You on a wall?
Also, this probably isn't best folder to get a GM response from. I'd try the empaths boards, since this isn't really a life magic issue.

Sorry to burst your "it didn't use to be this way rant", but there was no Transference 5 years ago.

Firstly, every guild has their problem skill. Ours is transference. The only thing that sets our skill as more of a pain is that it has been totally dependent on other players for our ability to learn it. That problem is being worked on by our Guild team. They are slowly giving us other options. I have faith they will continue to do so.
Secondly, Transference was NEVER teachable. Not for one second after it's arrival. Trust me, I was there. Those of us lobbying for a "healing" skill back then specifically requested it not be teachable for many good reasons, which our team agreed with.
I appreciate your problems with transference, as we all have them, but get your facts correct before you rant. :-)
