This spell is a very powerful spell that is also very dangerous if carelessly used. i propose a change to the spell, to avoid the seemingly unavoidable conflicts we will come to have with it. backpacks, valuables and important irreplaceable belongings taken by it, some on purpose, but lots accidentally.

This suggestion comes from the Bridgemaster, a local denizen of Ilithi. That to avoid conflicts where accidently irreplaceables are lost, we change the ripple spell to cancel itself out, so a repeat cast will end any ripple in effect. This will give us a control over how our ripple opperates and how it affects those around us.

The alternative is that it is considered 'weakness' of the spell, but I ask you all this, GM's, is it fun to lose all your irreplaceable stuff simply because they didn't know a ripple was in effect. For most, items of real work come so hard, that it is in the best interest of an all around more enjoyable game to let us work to prevent such occurances.

I hope you will consider this course of action for the betterment of the gaming environment.

Having lost rather a lot myself the night Ripple was released, I have strong feelings about this effect of the spell.

Ripple, as far as I can tell, does stop when the casting mage leaves the room and doesn't follow the mage as it did when originally re-released.

The spellbook tells us that it is a very difficult spell to control, which it is, but it's sheer power must have some drawbacks to it or it would be open season for people to complain that moon mages have way overpowered spells.

It might be an idea to class Ripple as a combat spell and not allow it to be cast in rooms that don't allow combat. At least then weapons belonging to corpses would be safe from a rogue wave.

Going on what Redfers said this is a very powerful spell and to be able to turn it on and off at ones will is just to powerful. I suggest an enchantment. One that would protect an item from the harmful teleportation magics. The way I figure it is we may not be able to control the raw power of the spell but we could protect certain things from it.
