As Aluriaz and Eldrad have done, I have decided to offer up what I believe to be issues that need a strong eyeing before the final crunch of "Forever."

1) Shear

A - As others have raised. Shear's indeterminable duration
at the cost of one of the most utlized defensive spellbooks
with no active way of bringing the spell down on their
own is simply unbalanced. The spell is complete liability
to a mage. I applaud the design, but have serious problems
with the functionality of the spell. Bugs with a 1 mana ES
cast bringing it down.

B - The spell is very weak at protecting against targetted
spells, which if you examine the fundamental logic of the
spell (It is a protective shield that prevents magics cast
on someone protected by the shield.) Targetted spells are
by their very nature hostile spells, the sort of spells
that we would want to protect ourselves against.

C - I really have no clue how shear is against creature magic
like that of Adan'f Mages. The adan'f mages have clearly
undergone tweaks in their mentals, with the new spells,
indeterminant mentals we have realistically no clue what
sort of environment this spell now exists and how it
functions in that environment, which is the whole point
of the spell preview. (Point Being: Can you describe what
to expect without being the usual GM vague? Or offer up
some way of relating this aspect of elanthia to us before
the end of preview?

2) Thoughtcast

A - This spell is much like Moon Gate was on its initial
release, sorely suffering from the obviously wonkified
distance calculations. Since we know that that isn't
going to be fixed nearly any time soon, I make this
statement based on the way I perceived Rigby's statements
during evaluation of Moon Gate.

B - Nothing serious, but consider making the length of the
statement grow with skill. Start at a base of 10 words
and a word every 25 pm ranks. Something to consider,
shows growth of spell with respective little power increase.
