I have been trying to find a use for TKT now that the preview is ending, but I've come across a discrepency with this spell vs. other "First-tier TM" spells like FS, ChS, etc.
TKT is not only severely underpowered on an on-level basis, but the fact that you must have a clean room (as a young moon mage will not have the liberty to spend spell slots on Moonblade AND Dazzle to make slivers, let alone the skill to actually utilize the combo)
I was using this spell in blood wolves in Crossings, which are completely beneath my notice in skill level (165 TM, 265 PM) and it took at least 4 snap casts at minimum prep to kill ANY wolf. This is even with a full-strength TV on them. This seems a little absurd, considering that a 5 mana FS from me would obliterate the wolf in one cast. (All full prep, full target)
I was using coins as ammo, as they are the lightest and easiest sort of ammo. I also tried using wolf pelts to kill the ogres, and it took 10 mana to even get it off the ground, but it killed the ogre in one cast (Ogres are somewhat beneath my skills in magic)
For comparison, I was snap-casting DO at 9 mana, and was killing all wolves, young ogres, and scout ogres in one cast, not full prep, not full target (just fast enough to pull the spell off) And TKT at 5 mana, using coins on the young ogres wouldn't even ding their armor.
Damisska, Rigby, Chisoni, anyone?
Could you please look at this spell and see if there may be a power discrepency between this spell and other like spells? I really feel the drawbacks do not match the potential power threshold that this spell has, and at higher levels, this spell is completely overshadowed by all other TM spells because of these drawbacks.
I would appreciate a response, as whether or not this spell is going to get a once-over will definately effect my decision in choosing this spell, because in its current state there is no reason to learn this spell other than for prereqs of other spells.
Thanks for your consideration,
-Grads

As a cleric with magic ranks just about 15 below yours, (150 TM, 250 magic), using our first tier targeted spell Chill Spirit- it would take me at least 4 casts of 6 mana each to kill a blood wolf- at least that was my last experience(it has been tweaked a bit). But what amazes me is what you can do with a 9 mana DO. I can snap cast 9 mana HE at chests of crypt fiends, which are slightly tougher than ogres, and unless I get a lucky hit, it takes at least two shots for me to kill it. Even if I pump up the mana to 12 or 14 it normally doesn’t kill with one shot- and HE ignores armor. I wonder if DO is just incredibly accurate.
It doesn’t seem that TK is particularly out of whack with CS- it does appear that Fireshard is a pretty fantastic spell, but then again TM is their field- not yours or mine.

With about 60 ranks more TM and about 60 ranks more PM I cant kill an ogre with five (9 mana) cast of chill spirit. I can't snap 9 mana HE and kill fiends consistantly with one cast. usually 2 to 3. fiends are way beneath me current skills. just to give you a comparasion. Also i can kill an ogre with 25 mana AE fully preped.
