Is it true that the size of your mount affects how well you do in in a joust? Also does the armor the horse is wearing affect anything or is it all for show?

Thanks,

It's not the size that matters, but how you use it. Yuck yuck yuck. No, armor on your horse does nothing. Many people joust with nothing but a halter.

Nope. Wars only use is to allow horses to fight for their prospective Paladin owners

From my testing nothing helps jousting save the following in order of importance...

1) You must wear HP, or you'll just jump off the horse.
2) Shield skill (number one skill checked)
3) Weapon skill (you can make up for crappy ranks based on point 4, to some extent)
4) Using a "blunted" lance (the ones designed for jousting)

Everything else is irrelevant, or so miniscule as to not affect results. That's right even HP skill seems to have no significant effect.

Agility seems to help (as part of the weapon calc), so at the very least you're getting more TDPs.

By the way, what did it take to drop the RT on the Lochaber axe? After a few more points of wisdom that's on my "to do" list.

Oh yeah in reality the I liked training all the armors. Its just kinda funny because I started training HP simply for the someday Kleis might joust.

I went with the 1 extra point in strength so 43 strength 37 agility. I believe the site said 42 and 37. I guess it all washes out in the end because eventually I'm going to raise those stats high enough for min rt on the Tzece and boy will that be expensive.

I have jousted before with plate covering all but hands. From what I was told, plate is only absolutely necessary on all torso (chest abdomen back)and head (eye neck head) areas. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

We have to wear HP to joust? I knew there was a reason none of my characters were jousting! Hehehe...well, my paladin will, someday, and she's in HP, but not any of the others.
